Roles and Responsibilities

My Contributions

With this being such a big project, I helped across a wide variety of areas, but my main contributions centered on strategy research, leading testing direction, and refining the presenting the campaign.

Role 01

Strategist

Led an individual team of five, conducted primary and secondary research, and discovered a key tension for the campaign: there is an unaddressed disunity between the support youth believe they are getting and the support they desire.

This helped form the basis for developing the rest of our strategy around the principle of disunity.

Role 02

Director of Testing

Led all testing efforts to ensure campaign success. I created surveys, interactive response tests through Lumiere, oversaw global translation and scalability testing, determined future testing metrics and tools, and set specific, measurable goals for the broad KPIs we were given.

Through our testing, we were able to confirm that our ads met and exceeded the specifications given to us.

Role 03

Presenter

Had the opportunity to present the efforts of our work to both live judges at Districts and virtual judges for Semi-Finals. I helped write and refine the presentation slides, the script, caught and changed small errors, and dedicated dozens of hours to preparing our presentation to be the best it could be.

Reflection

What This Project Built

There was so much work put into this project it would be impossible to display it here in any reasonable way. This project set the foundation for my skills as a strategist and advertiser.

  • Broke down an intense, information-loaded client brief. The NFL's brief was 104 pages long.
  • Conducted 11 primary research tests and analyzed over 70 secondary tests.
  • Ideated hundreds of tensions and insights brought to class discussions.
  • Reviewed creative to ensure it met requirements set in the brief.
  • Directed testing efforts to target audience through interactive surveys.
